Of utmost importance is convincing our state legislature to disallow Illegal aliens from receiving ANY state-issued identification.

In 2001, the Tennessee legislature passed a bill which allowed illegal aliens to receive valid drivers licenses.  Due to pressure from legal American Citizens and security concerns, the legislature passed a bill in June of 2004 overturning the 2001 license law but which still allows those who can not prove their legal presence  to receive a 'certificate of driving' which is stamped "Not to be used for Identification".  In essence, this new law is still rewarding those within our borders illegally to obtain a semblance of legitimacy by providing them with a state-issued document.

A FACT that has not made the local newspapers regarding this law is the requirement in this bill for EVERYONE who has obtained a first-time Tennessee license since the initial law went into effect in 2001 to re-present themselves to a licensing station upon expiration of their current drivers license to re-present their documentation!  In our opinion, only those licenses issued to those without Social Security numbers should have to re-apply.  Once again, the vast majority of our legislators have seen fit to pass a measure further inconveniencing Legal residents so as to not offend those who broke our Nation's laws to come here.

Allowing this law to continue in its current form is an open invitation for illegals to come to our state and receive a measure of legitimacy which will allow them to travel freely throughout the Country no matter what their intentions towards this Nation and Its Legal Residents.  

We are dedicated to helping find sponsors and co-sponsors to facilitate the passing of a bill overturning all this nonsense through both Houses of our Legislature.  Thus far, very few Representatives and Senators have shown the fortitude to stand their ground and insist that Tennessee cease rewarding Illegals with state-issued documentation. We need more individuals in office who will stand up for Legal American Citizens instead of kow-towing to the lobbyist who represent the illegal alien contingent.
